Identification of SMEs (Small and Medium-sized enterprises)
The ENRAH for SMEs project has the aim to stimulate and support the SMEs participation in the Framework Programme. Rare paediatric neurological disorders are a largely un-exploited field of human medicine by the industry. During the past decade, knowledge about these diseases has been accumulating and for some of these diseases, clinical and genetic research has shed lights on their causative mechanisms.
It is the aim to integrate Small-and-Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) even at an early stage of scientific development which will strengthen the collaboration between SMEs and researchers and will ensure direct translation of basic research results into clinical practice with benefits for the public health. ENRAHs strong partnership between patient organisations, researchers and companies will secure to follow patient-oriented strategies. This will also facilitate the whole process of the design and commercialisation of Orphan Medicinal Products (OMPs) for these diseases.
Therefore, we have established an Experts Database to collect research project ideas and to establish a network of experts in this field.
